TRAINING SUPPORT
The modern ice hockey player must constantly improve his physical condition (conditional factors) and nutrition today if he wants to play at the top tomorrow.
In order for training stimuli - be it strength or hockey-specific endurance training - to be tested and optimised, not only established cracks but also young talents need support. Athletics coaches are often overwhelmed and are rarely able to provide sound and individual training and nutritional advice, as they lack the time, infrastructure, technology and, in some cases, the expertise. The following questions would have to be answered, especially in the younger years:
How do I improve my strength and muscle mass?
What do I have to pay particular attention to in my diet?
Will my agility improve because I have less fat mass without losing muscle mass?
How do I improve my hockey-specific endurance?
How do I reduce the risk of injury?
These issues can be clarified individually, without the player wasting an unnecessary amount of time and having to start from scratch every season or even run unnecessary risks of injury. The body is the capital of every player and therefore requires special attention.
In collaboration with Halle 41 and the on-site Sports Physiotherapy Team, we conduct comprehensive tests in all relevant hockey-specific areas for our athletes. This provides them with a precise compass, enabling us to work more purposefully with them. In this way, we can better support them on their path to becoming professional hockey players.
